Renovation Done Right.

DAVIE STREET

The Davie street project was a large 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom in Yaletown. The apartment had large floor to ceiling windows and a great living room/kitchen entertaining area. Originally the kitchen was a cove kitchen but we removed the wall and closet to make it open and much more up to the times where the kitchen has become the focal point.

KITCHEN

Once the wall was removed we were able to make the kitchen island and entertaining area with stool seating on the other side. With putting in a wall oven and glass cooktop we could run the countertop through which was a nice detail versus having a range that would sit in place. Using the closet space we were able to put the fridge with microwave in its place which added some valuable kitchen area.

BATHROOM

The bathroom was a standard 5′ x 8′ room so had enough room for a shower, single sink vanity and toilet. We used the same floor tile on the wall and added rope lighting behind the mirror and under the vanity.

MASTER BEDROOM

We used a brushed white oak flooring throughout the apartment. The master bedroom was a decent size with a walk in closet off of it in which we were able to maximize the space with custom cabinetry.

Dining ROom

The dining room area wasn’t huge so we chose to go with a smaller table with a pendant light that I really like. The solarium in the background we turned into more of a liveable space and all the green window frames were painted black to make a nice contrast with the white/light grey walls.

Kitchen Area

Trying to make this area a place for entertaining we ran the countertop past the island and put some stools for sitting. The upper cabinets opened up and we were trying to portray a nice lineal look with them. The smoky pendants contrasted really well with the cabinets and they were one of my favourite parts of the kitchen.

GUEST BATHROOM

Almost identical to the master bathroom, this bathroom featured a tub instead of a shower. We still provided a floating vanity here with rope lighting.
